This was our fifth time staying at this property and our first time in Unit 157. We keep coming back because the location is hard to beat. It’s central to everything on the island and incredibly convenient. The unit itself isn’t fancy, but it has everything we need, which is exactly what we’re looking for. Being able to see and hear the ocean from the front patio is a huge plus, especially in the mornings. There’s something pretty great about stepping outside with coffee and watching the sun come up. The unit is a short walk to the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was often full during this stay, but that’s more a testament to how popular it is. The property is older, but it’s well maintained and cared for. Yes, there are chickens right outside the door. That’s Kauaʻi, and honestly, we kind of enjoy it. We appreciated the larger refrigerator and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the handicap-style shower was. We brought our own beach chairs, but it was great to see that the unit also had beach chairs, a cooler, and beach towels available for guest use. Being right next to Lava Lava Beach Club is another bonus, and the ability to walk straight out the patio and enjoy the oceanfront setting really makes this place special. Overall, it’s comfortable, practical, and in a fantastic location. We’ll definitely be back.
